My Integrated Approach
My Integrated Approach accepts that whatever type of therapy is used you are still the same human being. It is likely that just one approach will probably be useful but will any one approach always be the best for you?
You are what is important in therapy; not the style of therapy used.
I will not limit our work to any single therapeutic approach within the general counselling framework. Some options are listed here -
The Psychodynamic Approach
This approach is really concerned with understanding troublesome feelings and attitudes whose causes were hidden in our subconscious minds at an early age.
Perhaps you feel bad about a certain place or when something is said or when something happens to you and so on; but you are not sure why. It is likely that there is a real but suppressed reason for this and it is NOT your fault.
Transactional Analysis (TA)
Do your communications with some other people usually go wrong? Do you feel uncomfortable with particular people, types of people or groups or even all the time? Do you feel inferior or superior to others; does it make fitting-in difficult?
TA can really help you to understand and fix what is going on.
Inner Child Work
Do you feel bad about yourself, others or just things; with unexplained anger or guilt? This may well be from the forgotten or hidden but vulnerable child that is a part of you.
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT or REBT)
This is all about how we respond to and understand things right now.
Do you tell yourself that you or others must do things or that failure is terrible and it means that you are bad. Are you getting anxious about stuff and worrying all the time?
You can get a happier life with REBT, your work and my help.
